Hello Foreman lets get to it
1- What has kept the 76ers from reaching the next level?
The correct answer is probably myself, but also I've run into some really tough teams every year in the playoffs. 2 out of the 3 seasons so far, I've lost to the champion in the ECF, and then the one season I didn't lose to the champion, I was the 8 seed. I've also had some troubles with depth as 4 guys on my team are making 20M plus. Not a lot of room to sign extra solid role players.
2- If you could make a 1 for 1 swap with any of your starting players for any one starting player in another team who and why?
Not that it's possible at all, but I'd love to swap Simmons out for a more all around PG. Simmons is solid with size, moving the ball, and defense, but if I could get someone like a RJ Barrett or a Cole Anthony, I think my team would be unstoppable. Also, having someone better to start than Boban would be nice too as he's starting to fall off.
3- How long have you been doing Sim?
I don't remember when I actually started, it was probably either my senior year of high school or about a year or 2 after I graduated high school. I started off in Nate's league and then eventually made the transition over to BSL after I got my feet wet. So it's been at least 5 years that I've been doing this.
4- If you fall apart yet again this postseason what will you be looking at in the offseason, a tear down? a partial retool? a key trade target?
If I fall apart again this postseason, my first goal would to be to try and move Simmons or Harris. Embiid would be a little more available as well, but Beal may be untouchable. I feel like I still have a competitive team, but could use some different players to make my team better in certain areas. No tanking yet though.
5- Thoughts on Ben Simmons?
If we're only talking about sim league, he's a reliable starting PG on a contender. He's not going to flash on his own and won't carry a team very far, but with good players around him, he's able to do what he does best and that's move the ball and play defense.
6- Who is Foreman, what is he all about?
Well, I recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and currently working 2 jobs; one as an electrical test technician, and then I'm a supervisor at a small retro gaming store. I'm looking to find something better to use my degree in, but it's been tough. I also recently just bought my first car (2015 white Ford Taurus). I have been with my girlfriend for nearly 4 years now, and I'm taking it slow due to all the loans I have to pay off as of now, but am looking to propose hopefully in the near future. I also enjoy traveling and going to concerts, which many of you have picked up on over the years. What I don't really talk about too much is how big of a collector I am. I have very big collections of movies, CDs (starting to get into vinyl), games, and Funko Pop Figures. I have a little over 200 movies at my house, along with having probably another 100 plus of mine at my girlfriend's house. I have a little over 100 CDs covering the walls of my room. Gaming is my favorite collection with 13 consoles/handhelds and a bunch of games/controllers for all consoles. The highlights of my gaming collection include a Spiderman PS4 Pro, a Pokemon N64, a Pikachu and a Spongebob GBA SP, 2 White Smash Bros Gamecube controllers, and a physical copy of Retro City Rampage for the Switch. My gaming collection is probably worth well over $1000, but I don't have everything added up right now. Finally, my Funkos, I have over 200 of them valued at over $3500. My 3 most expensive ones are the alternate universe Fry and Leela from Futurama valued at $220 (I paid $25), the Toy Story Alien valued at $130 (I paid $20), and Rex from Toy Story valued at $85 (I paid $16). I like talking about my stuff lol.
7- Favorite Food and Favorite restaurant?
Favorite food would have to be nachos. Any new Mexican restaurant I go to, I have to try the nachos. Best nachos I've had are probably the mile high nachos from a restaurant called Champps, but that's not around me anymore. Favorite restaurant would probably be this place called HopCat. I enjoy beer and they have a lot to offer, plus their food is great and their crack fries are amazing. If you're ever by one, check it out.
8- If you could hang with 3 GMs in Vegas who and why?
I've been to Vegas twice already, but both times it was with family, so for a third time I'd just look to do more of the crazy Vegas things. Number 1 choice for that would have to be an old GM, Paulius/Paul. Since I also like to drink beer, I'd like to have someone who could keep up with me so Beard seems to be that guy. Finally, I'd have to go with Beats, mainly because he just seems chill to hang around.
9- What are some of the things you would like to accomplish over the next 5yrs?
I'm 25 now (26 on the 19th) so by the time I'm 31 I'd like to have found a stable career (hopefully sooner rather than later), be married, and have already started my family. I'd also like to have a big chunk of my student/car loan paid off by then. School I was going to was about $1000 per credit with no scholarships so I'm in a decent sized hole right now.
10- If you could be anyone person in the world today (besides yourself) who would that person be and why?
I don't really want to be anyone else, I enjoy my life and enjoy my struggles. I'd rather work to achieve great things and make a name for myself than just be handed great things by switching with someone. My one goal in life is to do something good that someone will remember me for, so I'll continue on my path until I reach my goal.
