For $3.0M, what do you believe happens when you die and where does that belief stem from?

There’s some form of god out there. There are too many depictions of a “god” across too many places for there not to be something. So I guess we will meet our maker

I believe when I die I will see my God and maker and live in eternal peace... because I don't see how our consciousness just ends

Nothing. You die you die. That’s it. There’s no such thing as a soul. It’s a chemical make up in your brain that determines if you’re a “good soul” or not. This stems from common sense and science.

I believe when you die your heart stops beating and your body stops breathing in oxygen

Lol, I think when you die you die and that's about it. There are definitely no ghosts or dumb shit like that. I think it's just a wrap

I think when you die not much really changes or happens, you just die and that is that. My beliefs stem from people dying and not much changing overall.

There is no right or wrong answer. We're all absolutely clueless to what happens after the fact. Some grasp onto religion and faith to cope, others find it as a true source of peace. Anyone that acts like they know is senial or a prophet. Your call.

100%. I’m not religious but when my uncle passed away one night I was outside talking about him watching over us when a shooting star hit. I used that to cope with his loss lol. I’m sure a lot would laugh but it helped at the time.

I have a traditional Catholic upbringing so I believe when we die we go to heaven. I don't think that the Catholic or Christian faith is necessarily exactly as they describe it though. But a lot of the basic fundamentals across all religions are what likely hold true.

This is essentially my take. It's impossible to know what happens, and I don't understand the logic behind being confident in any specific theory of the afterlife because there's no way to know what happens, making any single possibility very statistically unlikely. Especially when you factor in how adamant people are about theories that are completely in conflict with each other.
