Hello Scottie, lets do this

1- Since the league restart any regrets on the way you have managed or missmanaged the Nets?

Overall I think I’ve done a really solid job the one regret I’d have is trading Oladipo for Trae and bassey. I thought Trae seemed fixable but obviously he’s been quite mediocre so far but nonetheless, I knew my team wasn’t going to contend anyways and that trade helped lead me into this full rebuild which landed be Springer and probably a second straight top 5 pick. People forget of the trade that got me Oladipo to begin with which, in my opinion, evens it out in the long run. Still have two Pacers lottery picks to show for it as well. Right now we’re in a great spot with Springer, Bassey, TJD, a ton of cap space, and two lottos.

2- Who would you say is your current best player and why?

Well this is easy. Jaden Springer no doubt who I’d say has been the best player in the draft, production wise, after preseason and the first two sims. The dude has all around game, solid potential, and great athletics which will hopefully lead to him continuing to improve over the years. I think the guy has potential to be a 20-25 PPG stud year in and year out in any type of offense. May dabble with him at PG too.

3- What is your strategy at the moment with regards to your rebuild, are you on point, do you wish you had drafted different players, are you ok?

So far I’ve been pleased with my strategy so far of gutting my team of any large contracts and going, for the most part, fully homegrown when it’s all said and done. Springer gives me a lot of confidence moving forward as well as TJD who I think can become a very good scoring big. Udoka has been a little disappointing but I think he still has potential as a sixth man who does a little of everything. We have a lot of picks moving forward that should hopefully end up with the rebuild being completed within the next two seasons. My issue has always been trying to expedite it before we’re ready so I’m trying to stay patient.

4- Who was the biggest surprised Player and Team in Sim 1 in the league?

Well sim 2 happened so I’m not quite sure but maybe the Cavs for sim 1? I believe they had a fairly solid record and were near the top of the central division. Yogi Ferrell has put up some really solid numbers and would be something else if his assist were better. Jahlil okafor as well has made that contract look relatively painless.

5- If you could switch teams with any GM who would you switch with and why?

Hmmm that’s tough. Is it bad if I say no one? But in l honesty I’d probably say the Bulls with their big three of Barrett, Tatum, and WCJ. all 3 are 24 or younger and are primed to wreck havoc for the next however many years if they can stay together. Once ebbs builds out the rest of the team they’ll be a force of nature

6- Who is Scott, what does he like, what does he do and where is he from?

Well let’s see. I’m 25 years old and have been born and raised in NJ. In the really world I work in digital marketing as an account manager for about 40ish brands/companies around the country/Canada. I drink and smoke weed and any of my friends would tel you that I’m as easy going as can be hard to believe) that usually enjoys just going with the flow and vibing out. Huge sports fan obviously but if all crappy teams do I’ve never gotten to experience the glory of winning a championship (Mets, Jets, Nets).

7- Favorite passtime besides Sim?

Oh good question. Favorite pastime besides sim would definitely have to be soccer. Played for 12 years growing up
But stopped in the middle of high school (yikes around when I started doing sims). I was relatively decent and played for my HS as well as rec teams throughout the year but just hated the amount of time I had to commit in HS.

8- Friday nigth go out or stay home? Saturday same quetion?
I usually go out at least either Friday or Saturday each week. Have some solid night life by me especially in the summer being that I’m extremely close to the beach. Usually just me and some friends chilling at a bar, going to a club, or just smoking and drinking in someone’s backyard. I’m a very adventurous and active guy so I do truly enjoy doing stuff all of the time but value my free time drastically and try to have at least a day a week where I can just do me and be lazy as fuck.

9- The Beach, the Mountains, the Sun or the Slopes?

I live about 2 minutes from the beach and am within 15 minute drives of other “more popular” beaches nearby. So I’d have to go that. I love the sun and experiencing nature so I enjoy hiking/exploring the world as we know it. Never skiied and probably never will tbh. Snowboarded once when I was a kid if that matters....

10- If you could buy anything you wanted (besides a home) what would it be and why?

I would buy a self sustaining business. What exactly? I have no clue. I was a business management major and have always dreamed of owning one in whatever industry. But if I could get one that doesn’t involve many day to day responsibilities then fuck yeah. Also a sports car..
