Power Forwards

Evan Mobley

Not the strongest power forward class, but leading things off is the veteran shot blocker Evan Mobley. Mobley has had quite an interesting career trajectory, starting off his career as a young, offensive-minded big who transformed himself into a two-way player, but now specializes as a shot blocker and rebounder. Entering another contract season, his value is still sky-high as his shot blocking prowess has remained elite. He'll be looking to anchor the inside for the Pacers as they attempt to redeem themselves after falling short in the ECF last season. If he does test the market, expect some teams to come hard after him with near-max offers, while others may shy away due to his age.

Aaric Murray

Career Stats:
26.9MPG 8.8PPG 8.3RPG 1.3APG 0.8SPG 1.2BPG 1.5TOPG

40% FG, 65% FT, 40% 3PT

Aaric Murray is starting to come into his own finally and at the perfect time as he enters the prime of his career right before he becomes a free agent. After several seasons in Washington and half a season in Minnesota, Murray finds himself this year as the anchor inside for an up and coming San Antonio team. In the preseason, Murray displayed flashes of offensive scoring we haven't seen out of him in previous years. If he can replicate this production during the regular season, expect the 27-year old big to demand near-max to max money. If Murray and fellow big-man
Richard Howell can combine for around 28-30 PPG, to take the load off high scoring guards Tatsuya Suzuki and Tyler Lamb, don't be surprised if the Spurs make some noise come postseason.

Sam Dower
B B- F+ C+ C+
25 yo

Career Stats:
25.4MPG 15.1PPG 7.2RPG 1.0APG 0.7SPG 0.7BPG 1.4TOPG
45% FG, 74% FT, 34% 3PT

Last Season Stats:

43% FG, 76% FT, 35% 3PT

The former 2nd overall pick will be entering his first free agency next season if he decides to test the waters, and it will be interesting what type of offers he will be attracting. Dower has shown his offensive potential and advanced skillset as a big man, but has yet to take the next step to developing into a complete player. Dower frequently gets lost defensively and out-hustled on the boards. Despite his shortcomings, there is no question about how talented Dower is on the offensive end. Entering his second season in Cleveland, Dower might find himself in a bit of a minutes crunch with all the talented young bigs the Cavs have accumulated. Given their plethora of bigs, don't be surprised if Dower is the odd man out.

Harper Kamp
B C C- C+ C+
30 yo

Career Stats:
18.7MPG 9.0PPG 5.2RPG 0.9APG 0.4SPG 0.7BPG 0.7TOPG
46% FG, 76% FT, 24% 3PT

Last Season Stats:
15.5MPG 7.2PPG 4.4RPG 1.0APG 0.3SPG 0.6BPG 0.5TOPG
45% FG, 75% FT, 60% 3PT

Harper Kamp is entering a season similar to his former teammate
Terrence Jennings had last year. After playing multiple years as a rotational players, don't be surprised if Kamp plays a larger role with Jennings gone. In preseason, the 30-yr old big out of Cal put up 14/10 in an impressive stretch of games. However, don't expect him to see as much playing time behind Fabricio Oberto and CJ Walker, who both provide more defensively. If Kamp were to test the markets, he would likely attract an MLE-type contract as an offensive specialist.

Zion Williamson
B- C+ C- B- B
36 yo

Career Stats:
35.2MPG 16.1PPG 9.9RPG 3.4APG 2.0SPG 2.2BPG 1.6TOPG
44% FG, 65% FT, 33% 3PT

Last Season Stats:
31.5MPG 7.5PPG 10.1RPG 1.7APG 1.4SPG 1.7BPG 0.9TOPG
41% FG, 59% FT, 28% 3PT

Zion Williamson has been on a steady decline as he has gotten older, but he still retains some value as a veteran presence who can still rebound and defend multiple positions. While he is no longer an efficient offensive player, Zion can still provide a spark off the bench. Entering his 8th season with the Hawks, he'll likely come off the bench as they recently signed Terrence Jennings to a multi-year deal. In most other classes Zion would not make the list, but next year's power forward class is so short that he comes in at #5. Regardless, having Zion come off the bench, with
Jerry Lucas, Terrence Jennings, and Scottie Barnes at the 3, don't be surprised if the Hawks find themselves on the top of the rebounding leaderboards.
