This is Part IV of a series where I go back and apply MAPLESOCUTING to all of the drafts we have had this league. We are going to dive into how players ended up later on in their careers, success rates based on potential/draft position, and in other data that might help us all become better drafters, or just understand how FBB works with player development. This article we will be looking at the top 10 from each position in MAPLESCOUTING score, and GROWTH, among other things. I have completed nine drafts so far, 2019-2025, 2033, and 2040.

Bob Pettit looks like a natuaral in that Hawks uniform, it's a shame the lotto was a sham this year and countryboy Pettit is stuck in Los Angeles

Bob Pettit is the highest rated center, and comes in at #3 overall in MAPLESCOUTING. I feel bad for those who dropped in the lottery and missed out on Pettit. If Pettit can receive the growth Wiseman had as a poor defender on draft day, watch out league the Lakers have their new Shaq/Kareem/Wilt.

Zion Williamson is still the only prospect to score a 60 or greater in MAPLESCOUTING

POWER FORWARDS:

Charles Bassey49.92Jaxson HayesPLUS 6
Wayne Chism49.74Terren FrankPLUS 6
The Power Forward position is filled with busts: Paolo, Walker, McDaniels, Watford, and Chism. Donyell Marshall rated highly this draft and I hope he is more like Brandon Clarke and NOT another name added to the bust list.

Gytiis has the most pressure any top pick has seen in a while as the Bulls will look to compete immediately with their new star

SMALL FORWARDS:

Jalen Johnson51.54Duke CrewsPLUS 8
C.J. Fair51.44Jamail JonesPLUS 7
Gytis Radzevicius is the highest rated small forward we have had so far at the SF position. I feel bad for those who dropped in the lottery and missed out on Gyt. While Patrick Baldwin was good, but never great, and Sam Williamson flopped, Gytis Radzevicius will be looking to rewrite the record books as the top rated SF. He also has some help falling into the lap of the Chicago Bulls.

Thomas is not too shabby of a third pick, most years he would have easily went #1. This lottery was a such a sham against the Hawks organization.

SG is a pretty weak position, and Jahad Thomas comes in as the highest rated SG since the 2019 draft class . I feel bad for those who dropped in the lottery and missed out on Jahad.

LaMelo Ball is still the goat in terms of growth for point guards
POINT GUARDS:

Bigger bust, Dave Bing or Ja Morant? Both went #1 overall, yet both are memes in this league. Ja became a tank machine while Bing is just irrelevant. Speaking on memes we see Roddy Gayle Jr. with +10 growth. We will see later on why Bing is the bigger bust than Ja.

A CLOSER LOOK: Teen 1st round picks in MAPLESCOUTING

Teens with the largest growth:
727
RJ Barrett is still the GOAT in terms of growth, and only 15 other teens saw double digit growth during their careers. Federico Aguerre had the worst draft day potential of all double digit growth players but we all know he had a lucky potential boost in TC. Assuming all 25+ potential guys on this list boosted, except for Maxey since Panic told us he never boosted, that means only 4/119 (0.033%) of teens boosted and saw growth greater than +6. Maybe chasing that teen boost isn't worth it after all.

Teens with the smallest growth*:
728

Names that stick on this list to me are: N'Faly Dante, Dave Bing, Lou Hudson, Josh Green, Paolo Banchero and AJ Griffin Jr. Such promising prospects that completely flopped. Assuming all top 10 potential teens received a negative potential drop in TC due to being a teen, 12/119 (0.1008%) of teens dropped and saw growth less than +4. Maybe the high potential teen is more risky than you think.
