If you replace ai with a different pg of the same perceived value you win more than one. If you replace Kobe with a different 2/3 of the same perceived value you still only win one.

Kobe is better than AI but AI was never seen nearly as valuable I got him for a few futures. Replacing AI with similar perceived value isn't getting much either given Kobe often cant win with loaded teams...

He wasn't my best player but was worth far less in value, I sold him for a single pick and Kobe for 8 for a reason. He was closer to matching that value than Kobe was if you want to talk about the problem given the perception...

The reason it took so long is Kobe isn't as valuable as many think, AI is as valuable as many perceived him. He isn't the reason for the issues since he was never supposed to carry

I mean the one of the two that was a bigger issue given their perception was Kobe. AI was the bigger issue in the sense he wasn't near that level though sure. Like Pollard isn't great either, it's his fault we lost too.

year in and year out AI was getting thrashed on the perimeter and your team was getting steam rolled on the glass

Even in years where you had a top RPG your rebounding differential in the regular season was mediocre at best and in the playoff boxes it always really shined.

kobe shot you out of a few games here and there. As did dirk for me. And Ray Allen for others. That happens with the randomness of fbb. What wasn’t random was the consistent negative that was Ai

Because I understand ai was not a top 2 player on my team. A guy not playing to expectations is different than just being worse. Ai is worse than Kobe obviously. Kobe is the one not living up to expectations though
