Daulten: Tell me about yourself.

Played in FBB leagues for like 10 years and always was very active. Also have commish experience.
Daulten: How would you describe your basketball philosophy?
DMang17:
Defense wins championships. I don’t tank and would rather continue to field a competitive team for many years over a small chance of tanking and fielding an elite team.
Also, I probably know like 80% of the people in this league. Think it would be fun to play in a league again.
Daulten: If you could be any animal, what would it be?
DMang17:
A platypus.
Daulten: Tell me about a time where you had a conflict with another general manager and commissioner and what steps you took to address it.
DMang17:
I had a conflict once with G9 when he was commissioner. He was too busy working at KFC and was failing to complete his duties. I scolded him, mocked him, and gave him a few life lessons. Ever since then he has been a lovely contributing member of the FBB community.
Daulten: Tell me your favorite joke.
DMang17:
I have a lot of good jokes, but I don’t think they would be appropriate for a formal job interview. I’m looking to bring my A game with seriousness and striving towards championships.
Daulten: Tell me the best trade you’ve ever made.
DMang17:
There isn’t one specific trade that stands out, but I think it’s important both sides of a trade come to an agreement that is a win for all parties. I definitely plan to be active in the trade market.
Daulten: Nothing comes to mind??

Not really, it’s been like 8 years.
Daulten: What are your thoughts on President Donald J. Trump?
DMang17:
Love Donald Trump. Voted for him all the way back to 2016. I wrote a college paper about him when he was a possible candidate, and the liberal POS professor demanded I modify the paper to represent he had no chance of winning the Republican nomination. Always liked Trump. Even just visiting NYC monthly when I was a kid and seeing his name around, I always wanted to be an entrepreneur.
Daulten: Follow-up: Where would you rank President Trump among the greatest presidents of all time?
DMang17:
Easily the greatest president in recent times. Fact of the matter is, with the internet and social media nowadays, any president is going to be deemed as very divisive. The media is the greatest enemy to the common people, not the president.
Daulten: Imagine a scenario where your team finishes as the 8th seed three straight years. You have a 31-year-old All-NBA player as your franchise player, and he is demanding a four-year max deal to stay with the team. What do you do with your team moving forward?
DMang17:
Well, I don’t know what maxes are in this league, and it would depend who I have as backups, but yes, I would likely accept. I would much rather be a low-tier playoff team than be an awful team for four years.
Daulten: If you are selected as the Cleveland Cavaliers GM, what would you bring to this organization and why should we trust you with this role?
DMang17:
I would bring to Cleveland some hope and have the same tenacity our fans have on a nightly basis of fielding a competitive team. We also believe it’s very important to be involved in the local community and will be running many events throughout my tenure of bringing the players closer to our fans.
