Hmm, I don’t know that there’s 1 specific person who bothers me more than the rest of the field, but there’s a lot of platformed people that I think are annoying and undeserved.

I personally don’t understand hype or appeal behind streamers or big YouTubers. I don’t get it at all. I don’t get how it happened, I don’t get who’s watching it, I don’t get who it’s for, or why or how some of these people have garnered so much attention to fuel their stardom. It all feels fake like corporate backed industry plants. Something very synthetic about all of it. I know it’s not for me but it’s really puzzling. So I guess someone like Adin Ross feels pretty bad because he’s very influential amongst younger kids and one of the most ignorant people I’ve ever seen speak on complex issues in any clip that’s ever come across my timeline, so misguiding the youth is pretty dangerous. Most influencers in general as well who are pretentious and narcissistic. Anyone pushing political agendas on either side. People who are negative and hateful. Idk I guess I think there needs to be less accessibility to audiences and influences in general, people are really dumb.

Well it is what it is. These people have always been around now there is just more of them, and in your face about it. Since the internet has evolved so much that real (positive) influence is harder to comeby. There is just so many avenues for people to individualize themselves. And yeah these influencers really only influence ways to look dumb, and have the perception of making money which in of itself is narcissistic. Young people just don't have the wisdom to pick up on that stuff, and they get drawn to it. I grew up with the youtube craze so it was parasocial. You couldn't message these people while watching videos. Now, they have all kinds of ways to message these people, and weird stuff happens. Roblox is the worst of the worst. Minecraft is bad too. I think parental controls and some monitoring might be needed but not to the point of being a helicopter parent. I'm inbetween millenial and Gen Z so I see both sides of the argument. A healthy balance is required.

Probably trump bc I'm tired of him making decisions. He seems uncancellable though bc he's given us ample opportunity to do so and he is still around.
