C.J. McCollum signs with the Nets for $85,526,800 over 5 years.

Sign and Trade.
i am very aware that it is a lot of money for C+ defense and questionable turnovers but I am in desperate need of some volume scoring. Also snagged a handling coach to alternate on KCP and CJ handling for a few years here. They both are plenty quick. If the handles can be made even remotely decent I will be ecstatic with the duo.
A 4+ TC puts CJ at B- A C+ B- C+ which looks nice. Worth a risk!

However, I gave TP a similar deal at the same age (32) and I can understand why Henny did it. Boozer and TP are both steady players who do what you know they are going to do. I feel like the TP one make a tad bit more sense since he actually plays defense. But it is what it is. With GMs like Jason having money to throw around you gotta cover your ass.

I think it's time for Boozer to get a new home.

Nuggets Send:
Carlos Boozer
Amare Stoudemire

Trailblazers Send:
Kobe Bryant (CB)
2 First Round Picks
Alex Kirk

Win win for both.

DeMar DeRozan signs with the Lakers for $22,917,431 over 4 years.

Since Nate is running inside this one is OK. Will be interesting to see him as an inside option.

Khris Middleton signs with the Lakers for $22,917,431 over 4 years.

Easily worst contract I’ve seen of this FA so far. He contributes… nothing.

I want him though. @Nate

AIR won’t trade his own picks but he will propose trades where others trade their own picks.
Well I just know that Henny will always ask for picks regardless of who it is.

I forgot to add the 10M minimum that Henny requires.

Arron Afflalo signs with the Grizzlies for $16,500,000 over 5 years.

Awesome contract, unfortunately.

Afflalo is a perfect mid to end of bench shooter and this contract is perfect for a mid to end of bench shooter.

Robin Lopez signs with the Lakers for $37,027,881 over 4 years.

Wouldn’t be bad if:

A) López still had any pot left (he probably doesn’t. Was low on draft night)

B) he didn’t have so many low fringes.

He’s one dice roll away from Ludovic Vaty territory, only without the declining contract to go with his declining career.

Jonny Flynn signs with the Bullets for $4,257,850 over 2 years.

Worth a shot. Playable.
Sometimes two year deals bite me in the butt even if they are small. One bad TC and he becomes unplayable and then you have to ask someone if you can dump 2.5m on them for a roster spot.

Danilo Gallinari signs with the Bullets for $16,710,750 over 3 years.

Didn’t have the slightest idea that he was even in the league. Doesn’t make it a bad contract but feel like there weren’t many eyes on him.

Eddy Curry signs with the Cavaliers for $43,860,000 over 4 years.

Rather expensive frontcourt with no clear #1 frontcourt guy. Could definitely be a worse situation, like, having no frontcourt. But would rather have a “star” and then cheaper help around him I think. Either way it’s solid enough help for Kyrie for now.
