- High Perimeter Defense/Low Stealing vs Low Perimeter Defense/High Stealing
I like steals too don't get me wrong but it doesn't do much good if you get burned regularly when not getting one. You have to be able to play defense on the elite guards in the league.
- High Post Defense/Low Blocking vs Low Post Defense/High Blocking
I think normally I would like the blocking for a big. A lot of times teams aren't really playing through a big man it's outside focus etc. so the blocking for teams defense etc. is nice. However there are a couple nice bigs right now where I think you could at least argue post D is needed.
This one is a bit mixed for me but generally speaking you need a jump shot. The 3 point shot is very useful to in order to get volume up once a player has a shot though
I am going to say quickness. The reason is that if you are very low on either it probably ruins a player (even if handling is worse). If you have average of one or better and elite the other then I prefer quickness because that often leads to volume.
- Franchise PG vs Franchise C
It's a perimeter game mostly and PG's are often the key to success. As others note FBB is a PG game.
- Two studs + a team full of very average role players vs No true All-NBA 1st Team players + a team loaded with very high end role players (think Lakers/Pistons Finals matchup)
I generally build my teams by going for stars then filling in, this basically describes my team right now. I try and get two studs at least (Julius/Dell, Melo/Gytis, Kobe/Pierce) then add pieces around them over time to put it over the top (preferably even a 3rd stud like Mario was turning into or adding Pinero). I am a big on star power in FBB just like real life.
