For 3m:
1. What team do you expect/should be buying this season? (think -- on the precipice of success or needs a revamp)
2. What team do you expect/should be selling this season? (think -- off to a hot/unsustainable start and/or not a real contender)
3. What player is most in need of a change of scenery?

1) Rockets should go get a real PG and push all the chips in for the title.
2) I expected the Sonics or Jazz to sell. Both are not contenders and have attractive trade pieces.
3) Eddie House deserves out of Utah and out of Wade’s shadow

1. Dallas should make a real push to get a PG and some rebounders as well; Charlotte should do whatever they have to do to bring in another impact piece
2. If I was the Nets I’d consider selling off Scola and Allen while I can still cash out to some extent. Utah after this last offseason should probably pack it in and recoup assets
3. Eddie House

Buyers: Celtics are 20-5 and that’s with Brevin Knight at 3.6 turnovers per game and 40/30 shooting splits. Could combine my Bucks pick they own with Knight for a higher level PG, and become clear favorites in the East

Sellers: Player refused to play his players in their best positions. Went from +10 to +7 that sim, meaning that after those DC changes he was only a +4 differential. You can’t compete with a team who is bottom 10 on FG% and 3%. Think they should consolidate their assets, especially the 4 bigs in their front court, and try to get another high tier star so they can run Iverson / Roy / star 3 and get their shooting splits up to a competitive level

Needs a change of scenery: Rudy Gay…don’t really know how to answer this question so I found a player who I feel like is not producing up to the level I would except from him. Don’t necessarily think he’s needs to be traded, just think he should be putting more numbers up than he is right now

1. Magic havd two superstars yet are at 12-11. Something needs to change.
2. Sonics - shaq is old
3. Hedo/Dirk - stars being wasted on a sonic team

Buyers: Homer pick here but Charlotte could definitely buy in. Moved Brand thinking we were a few years off. Dallas made some great additions with Jefferson, Bosh and Pollard if they could move Arenas off ball they would be a legitimate threat

Sellers: I’d like to see Denver sell off. Not winning any rings with that core but you could sell off and get a fuck load of assets. I’d like to see Seattle sell off two, they were pretty close before having a great TC. Could get some elite rebuild packages for Dirk/Hedo and Shaq could still push plenty of teams over the top.

Eddie house here is a great option as he’s capable of a lot more, Greg ostertag should be on a contender at his age and rim protection. Jason Terry would still be a MVP candidate yearly if he was given the keys. Lot of good pieces being misused or underused

Buyers: Magic. Two of the top five players in the league and are battling to stay above .500 right now. I’m not the one to determine the upgrade their need, but the star power is there and they seem to be one piece away.

Sellers: SuperSonics. It’s a good team but the window is very small. I get going for it, but if they want to be a competitive squad for years to come, they would sell off now for assets.

Change: The consensus is Eddie House and rightfully so.

Buyers: Hawks and Hornets. Both are in a good position to have a top seed in the East which gives the coveted home court advantage. Hornets have a great young core centered around CP3 and iggy. Hawks have an established front court with AI and Roy. Hawks would be a favorite with a legitimate SF.

Sellers: Nuggets and Jazz are kind of stuck in the middle of neither tanking nor seriously competing. They have enough assets to accrue picks/specs and restart.

No offense to NC, but KG. Man's been loyal to Timberwolves but I feel like he can have a career like the real life KG where he went to the Celtics and was the anchor of their defense at an old age. KG is still good enough for at least 3 yrs imo

1. Magic.. seriously with that top talent another piece could make them Champs

2. SEATTLE - The ass whoping Nuggs gave them inbthe playoffs has them in a tailspin they won't recover from.. age a big factor and a classic case of the parts being greater than the sum at this point

3. EDDIE HOUSE ...Denver would be a good fit

Buyers - mavs, they need to start building something around Lebron

Sell - warriors got a bunch if money tied up in iffy players and should try and get some assets while they can for some of them

Eddie house is a super obvious answer in a league starved with PGs someone could definitely benefit from adding him

1. What team do you expect/should be buying this season? (think -- on the precipice of success or needs a revamp)
-I think the Knicks should be buying, they have the core pieces to really take control of the conference for the next few seasons if they can secure a third option. Joe Johnson and Tony Parker is an incredible duo.

2. What team do you expect/should be selling this season? (think -- off to a hot/unsustainable start and/or not a real contender)
-The SuperSonics definitely need to start selling, and it's not going to be that easy. The Western Conference has gotten a lot more difficult and all of a sudden they're on the outside looking in as far as the playoffs are concerned. Sitting on an aging Shaquille O'Neal at this point would be a big mistake.

3. What player is most in need of a change of scenery?
-People probably could argue Jason Terry considering he will not be a number one option or play point guard here in Los Angeles. But I'll go with Shaquille O'Neal, who is still capable of being the 3rd best player on a championship caliber team. The SuperSonics are not that team anymore for him.

1. Rocket could be the best team in the west EASILY if they are able to aquire a PG. Lou is a great trade chip.

2. Sonics Sonics Sonics. Not even close imo. They are past their window and should be trying to regather assets in order to reduce the amount of time they'll have to tank.

3. I'll say either Rudy on the Bullets. It's likely that they both won't be able to retain both players past this season and Ebbs should be grabbing value for them. I imagine both could do well in a new role.

1. I think Bullets/Magic both could be buyers, good talent but not currently making tons of noise.

2. I think Sonics are the obvious team that has taken a step back and could maybe sell off a bit.

3. Eddie House, has always been a pretty solid PG and there are a few teams ready to compete that need an upgrade.

1. Buying - Could see the Cavaliers looking to buy a center. There's a guy (Ostertag) that would make sense for them.
2. Sell - Kings should be selling Ostertag & Mo Taylor. Doesn't make sense to move Brevin and not move those other guys.
3. Kevin Garnett makes the most sense here. Been with Minny forever and is now a free agent. Does Minnesota resign him for the max for another 5 years? Get the bag for him before he retires.

1. Sonics badly need a better PG. Felton isn't cutting it with his high TOs. Honorable mention to the Bulls who need a better 2nd big.

2. Kings are currently in the playoffs, but I don't see them making any noise there, and they may lose their playoff seed to the Sonics. 8th seed in the worse conference is a very bad place to be

3. Al Jefferson hasn't gotten an attribute boost in 4 seasons. One of the top bigs in the league and I don't see the Jazz currently being a contender

I think that the Magic should be buyers. They are a third scorer away from being an legitimate title threat.

I believe that the Kings should continue to sell off. They already started the process by moving Knight, and I don't see a reason for them to be holding onto competing pieces.

Ray Allen is in need of a change of scenery, however the Nets are unwilling to move him because they don't have their pick

1. My team. Could be a very difficult team to match up with if we could get a legit PG. PF will still be a weakness but I think the depth is there to really make noise.

2. Easy answer here is Sonics. In a very tough spot to add anymore meaningful talent and the assets you have are aging out of value.

3. would be fun to see KG on another team. Same goes for Dirk and Shaq.

1- Agree with the magic take. Think they grab another piece to go with melo and Baron
2- Sonics- they need to retool. Get young assets for some of their older guys
3- dirk/Shaq. Time to move on boy

Hornets should be a rebounding first big to put next to LMA. Someone like Ostertag

Bullets should sell, everyone boosts for them, why not cash in on Deron/Gay/Rudy at PEAK value

LeBron needs out of Dallas
