What's one moment in sports history you wish you could erase, and what would be the consequences of it.

I would erase LeBron joining the Heat. It would’ve resulted in CP3 forcing a trade to the Cavs after the 2011 lockout. Mavs still win in 2011

49ers-Ravens SB not the whole game I would just erase the fade to Crabtree at the end. HAND THE BALL TO FRANK GORE!! Whatever the result is of that I can live with but we all know Frank is getting in that endzone.

Could change one single play in a # of Packers postseason games since 2011 and I think Aaron would win that game and possibly another Super Bowl. Brandon Bostick bum ass lol

Take Derrick Rose out of the goddamn game when we’ve already sealed the deal in game 1 against Philadelphia in the first round of the playoffs. Rose doesn’t tear his ACL, and the Bulls have a real shot to take out LeBron and go to the finals.

Steve Bartman / Moises Alou fan interference in the 2003 NLCS vs the Marlins. Cubs go on to the World Series.

Marlon McCree picks off Tom Brady and tries to run the interception back for more yardage and he fucking fumbles, Patriots recover, and go on to score with almost no time left and knock the Chargers out of the playoffs. If he would’ve just taken a knee after getting the interception, we’re going to the goddamn super bowl.

I would erase the veto’ing of the Chris Paul to Lakers trade. The consequences would be that Chris Paul would have been able to get out of the first round of the playoffs all those years that he was a Clipper. CP3/Kobe would have been lit af

as a warriors fan, can't really complain even tho trading J-Rich after the We Believe run was idiotic.

for the 49ers, yeah handing the ball to Gore against the Ravens probably stands out. that and if Kyle Williams doesn't muff 5000 punts in two minutes against the Giants in the NFC Championship Game....who knows what would've happened in the SB but that year, the defense was shutting down everyone.

Eli Manning gets sacked, if you know you know. The Patriots would’ve won the Super Bowl, their fourth, and completed the undefeated season. Randy Moss would’ve gotten a ring. It gives the Patriots all the confidence going forward against the Giants again and the Patriots win again and make it five Super Bowls. Then they still go on an win the rest and the Patriots are even more unbearable to outsiders then they already are

I'll erase Robert Horry's random ass game winner in game 4 of the WCF 2002. Vlade batted the ball to him, and Horry hit a clutch ass shot giving the Lakers momentum. Without that play, kings advance to the finals against the Nets in 02 and would have been heavily favored. Maybe it separates Kobe and Shaq sooner. Maybe Webber doesn't get injured on a random freak injury and the 02 Kings become a dynasty with Bibby/Peja/Webber. I'd like to imagine that after winning a ring there would have been no push to move us to Seattle either

Trevor Bauer playing with his drone right before the '16 playoffs. They were still able to make a miracle run and go up 3-1 but they just flat out ran out of gas and Kluber was too overworked to push them through. We had already lost Carrasco and that was such a big blow, but to lose our #3 and still almost make it to the mountaintop was wild. I think we win if he's able to play through the playoffs. Not much probably changes outside of that for the Tribe specifically, but maybe more so for the Cubs. They go back to being cursed and who knows how things go.

For the Twolves, not trading Ray Allen for Star would have been pretty awesome. Also wish Sam Cassell didn't need to do the big ball dance and get injured in 04. We likely still lose to the lakers but still cmon man.

I wish Favre would have run the ball instead of trying to throw it to Sydney Rice against the saints. That probably ends up in a missed FG knowing us anyways though.

Oklahoma against Georgia in the CFP. Terrible play calling and not letting Mayfield keep passing. Couldn’t get yards and missed the FG in OT and lost.

I never really got this one. I get why cubs fans would be upset but theres no guarantee you even win that game if bartman doesnt catch that ball. Let alone the world series. Guys life was absolutely ruined because of that. The footage of them escorting him out of Wrigley is fucking insane.

I'm having a hard time coming up with an answer. The way we lost to the Royals in game 6 of the ALCS was pretty disappointing, but that year overall was such a big year for Jay's fans that it's hard to be mad at it. That was the Bautista bat flip playoffs which was probably the single greatest viewing moment of my sports life. (Right up there with Raps winning a ship and Roy Halladays no-no in the playoffs)

If I could go back and prevent Derrick Rose from blowing his ACL the first time I would. Maybe he still would have blown it out eventually or maybe he would have gone on to a hof career. The biggest "what if" in NBA history

If It's basketball I'd say Ray Allen fucking three against the Spurs in 2013

But if I'm considering soccer... sooooooo many possibilities
1 - Gignac hitting the post at the last minute of the 2016 Euro finals... I was there in the stadium and we would have celebrated it like never before or after
2 - Shevchenko scoring at the last minute of the 2005 Champions League quarter finals against Lyon... Best Lyon team ever and we would have won the Champions League
3 - Zidane headbutting Materrazzi in the 2006 World Cup finals... France was way better than fucking Italy

The call of the phantom high stick on Gilmour by Gretzky. If Gretzky gets the penalty, Leafs still have the lead going into the last few minutes of the period, Gretzky is not on the ice, maybe the leafs score. That allows the Leafs to close off the Kings, and play Montreal in the Stanley Cup finals, in which case the Leafs had the better team and would have won. Instead Leafs have not won since 67.

Close 2nd is the collapse of the 4-1 lead against Boston 7 years ago.

Recency bias but George Karl being an idiot. If Jordan went 5-1 in the Finals, we'd have a lot less dumb dialogue about the GOAT and what that entails.

Cotchery caught it. This obvious catch was ruled incomplete, it was challenged and still was ruled incomplete. Panthers were driving down 0-3 and this would have set them up to score. Instead a few offensive plays later Newton was strip sacked by Von Miller and the Broncos scored a TD to go up 10-0. Completely changed the momentum of the game.
