Five most interesting prospects still on their rookie deals, with reasoning, for 3.5M

1. Gilmore - reason obvious. literally gonna be Malik Rose or better
2. Gentile - that scoring is looking nutty. pump +4/+6 to his offense over the next few seasons via coaching, plus prob still has pot ......
3. Julius - pretty high chance he gets to A+ defense. extremely versatile. crazy that 10 picks might prove to be worth it for this guy
4. Eric flor - just think he’s interesting. kinda came outta nowhere. playing good 2 ball next to iverson.
5 - Lucio redivo - shoutout to Tyler for snagging a boosting teen. Redivo probably a year or two way but could be similar to nikos.

there’s like 30 interesting rookies in the league right now tho so if I overlooked someone more obvious, my bad.

Most interesting, not best:

1. Erving -- hasn't become an elite scorer yet, most of his inside is prob jumping, but his all-around game is nice
2. Gentile -- i wanna see how good he can get, maybe the next RJ???
3. Wilbert -- what is he really? not sure tbh
4. Jalan West -- it'll be interesting if he'll be just another one of those outside oriented PGs, or an elite one
5. Lucio Redivo -- curious to see how he'll develop too

1. Jermaine Guice - exactly the type of prospect I typically try and draft, was loaded with fringes, super nice balanced look to him, does a little bit of everything, looks like a young Ivan Almeida

2. Dennis Wuycik - Loved him on his draft night, another guy loaded with fringes that has a nice well-rounded base. Looks to have some volume despite it being force fed on a tanking team, plus rebounder, scores inside and out. Not sure how much better he gets from here but he’s cool.

3. J.P. Tokoto - I’m not in love with him but he’s super athletic with a bunch of potential, seems to have volume already. Think it’s super interesting to see where he ends up but I could see him being a B B C+ A- C type guy.

4. Rowan Barrett - Again I’m not in love with him but he’s got another chance at a boost, and he already had good potential to start, came in with a good base of ratings, could be another era of Barrett if he pans out.

5. Brandon Ashley - Has improved a lot in his 2 TCs and still has good pot to work with moving forward. Could be a LMA stretch big if he just gets a little better. B B- B B- type big if he keeps developing would be very unique and intriguing

Gentile - All the tools to become an elite two way wing. Scores at a high clip and defense is solid.

Gilmore - Already one of the best bigs in the league and still has room to grow. Could be an anchor for the knicks for the next decade

Julius Erving - still pretty high on him, he has the tools to become an elite 2 way wing who is a nice advantage on the glass. If he gets some coaching towards that jump shot watch out

Jermaine Guice - looks really dope and still has room to grow. If that potential is solid he'll be on track to become an elite wing

Jalan West - was big on him draft night and still like him a lot. Dr J and Mr West will form a formidable duo.

Just missing out: Grant Hill, Dennis, Vytenis, Flor, Lucio, EJIM

1. Gentile - B+ A- scoring after 3 TCs is absurd. Unless he falls off a cliff he's pretty much guaranteed to be a 30 PPG scorer, and he's already a solid defender as well

2. Gilmore - One of the best D/rebounding bigs in the league already, and he should still improve. Could easily be the best big in the league in a few seasons

3. Julius Erving - His scoring/shooting still have a lot of room to improve, but he's set up to be good at pretty much everything. Already an elite defender and a plus passer/rebounder, and he's only 21

4. Jalan West - Man do I regret not picking him at #6 in his draft, he looks like he's going to approach AI/Hristo ratings and likely numbers as well. He's taken a big step this season, 20/9 on great %s

5. Eric Flor - He was super raw in a shit draft class, but has exploded the last couple TCs and looked really good for the Wizards in pre, enough that they are ready to move on from AI. Could be a perennial 25/10 guy.

1 Dennis Wyycik - Dude can score. If he can take a jump defensively he is going to be a problem for a long time. Be interesting to see how much he improves on that end.
2 Jalan West - Man he has really good percentages. Him, with Erving, and Dell Curry... Oh boy
3 Eric Flor - Has GB ran into his point guard of the future??? If his percentages can get a little better he could be a sound scorer
4 Terrell Castle - Has great handles and is a solid defender. If he can become a more efficient scorer...
5 Rowan Barrett - Looks like he could be a really good defender. Be intrguing to see how he develops offensively.. Maybe his handles come around too

1. Gentile - He looks insane, he might get to A A scoring which is insane

2. Artis - He will always rebound and defend, would love to see if he develops into an option

3. Poirier - A - B B is a cool base and can still grow, what Dower should of been

4. Lucio - Boost and probably the next best guard coming up, ask user how much I've asked for him

5. Joel James, A draft baby of mine who boosted to 97. I hope he turns into something cool

Poirier - young big who has a good base for a big who can score and rebound. needs some work on defense, but still young enough to develop.
Wuycik - not your obvious wing prospect when people think about it as there are players like Hill and Gentile as obvious choices, but I find this later 1st round pick an interesting spec
Flor - interesting in that he's still producing good numbers next to AI. I love great A/TO guards
Irving - he's interesting in that I want to see how much he can develop skill wise. He has the athletic attributes I'm sure, so time will tell on how he will develop
DSR - biased because I have him, but his defense is borderline B- and with pot to grow. still a rookie with a very solid base if I asy so myself

1 George McGinnis - the intrigue here is McGinnis will be considered a case study on the effectiveness of the college scouting process. His super high TO numbers caused many gms to shake their heads at him as a high prospect so it’ll be interesting how much that really translates to the nba level.

2 mustapha fall - probably not a true “prospect” being that he’s in his second contract, but the second contract is the intrigue with him. He was paid to develop and it’ll be interesting whether his contract continues to be absurd or turns into a great deal.

3 Zhelin Wang - started his career with a good tc and looked like a premier big in the making. A disappointing tc this year puts that in limbo. He’s only a good tc or two from hopping back in that class but a bad tc this early is something to watch.

4 Wayne Blackshear - I remember liking blackshear a lot on draft day but he was an early tc disappointment and looked like a run of the middle bench wing until this most recent tc. The letter grade pop is nice but more importantly he seems to have increased his volume big time. This is for sure partly to do with surrounding roster construction but the leap of volume coupled with the steady efficiency gives me hope brad has found something in Miami.

5 Jermaine Guice - the 6th pick in the most recent draft, and more notably the main piece dealt this past offseason for Dell Curry, got off to a hot start in his first tc. With Curry still in his prime and seemingly approaching dangerously scary super stardom, following guices development will be interesting by comparison. Although it will be a long time before we see the true ramifications of this trade, Guice developing into an all star caliber wing will certainly sway the value meter when we look back at it.

1. Gilmore - Great big, still young and Malik Rose look a like.
2. Gentile - Great scorer already, will be interesting to see if he can progress to be an MVP
3. Julius - Will 10 picks ever be worth it for him?
4. Ridley - is he Mark Williams 2.0? Better or worse, plus he is my player
5. Walt Wesley - looks to be scoring a ton in Chicago, will that continue? Although he is the go-to man there. Will he actually progress into what he was paid for

1) Jermaine Guice - I loved Guice on draft night. He was fringe all over and just looked solid af. He had an outstanding first tc too. Will be interesting to see how he develops.

2) Wayne Blackshear - I really just noticed him for the first time this year. Hes become a very nice looking young player for brad. Does everything well and nice volume. If he keeps growing hes a potential all star imo.

3) Qian Wu - This guy is going under the radar right now but he looks like a highly intriguing 20 year old. Hes already a fantastic shooter with solid defense and great handles. I think some strength coaching and a weight camp would go along way for him. Blazers got a nice player at pick 20.

4) Katin Reinhardt - On paper he doesnt have ratings that jump out at you, but at the draft he had a very solid and fringe build. I'm guessing with a little time he will become a nice player for ty. A great late pick.

5) Deng Leek - Ok I gotta slob one of my own guys now. Is Deng a top prospect? No probably not. But if you want interesting look no further. One of the weirdest builds I've seen. F+ outside and handles, blocks a million shots, appears to have high strength, and loaded with potential. Very curious to see if he develops into the defensive monster gabe envisioned.

1.Wuycik... I know Nuggs are tanking but 27.7 ppg is legit nonetheless. Easy volume too.
2. Mussa Gueye - Godfathers next Great Big gave us a glimpse of who he is in Pre with 2.2 BPG as the starting 5.. Early scouting projections have the young man developing into a 12/11 3BPG defensive Big with easy board work underneath and many slam dunks
3.Dr J.. This one is personal he is my favorite NBA player all time. Grew up cheering for him and tried to play (as a kid) like he did on them smaller height basketball courts...
4. Mack - he has shown glimpses of becoming a very solid 20/8 assists type PG or greater and has inched closer and closer to thise heights...still only 22 and has coaching next season I look for Mack to resign with the Pels and take a quantum leap foward soon.. With Cole gone Macks playing time and chance to become a star will improve.
5. Jermaine Guice- yeah I know he belongs at the top .. but I am trying to give a different spin to this exercise. He is very very nice and will be a stud

going to go with players not a lot of people are talking about

1. Jose Vargas- 20 years old and B- B at one of the weakest positions at the league. He has incredible upside and GB always makes solid picks regardless of where he picks.
2. Martin Cuello- he fell in Donkey’s lap and is already one of the top 10 guards in the league and can fill it up. Will be interested to see how the league values him in FA. I’d guess max.
3. Perry Ellis- going to go with one of my own guys here but he still has high pot left with good volume. Not sure he can develop into a Star but already being starter level offensively in year 2 is a great sign. Hopefully he can use his pot (for my sake).
4. Prince Ibeh- perhaps the next great center? Already a terrific shot blocker that just needs rebounding to be among the top at his position. His turnovers could be better but he’s well on the way at age 20 to being one of the more intriguing bigs in the league.
5. Zhelin Wang-haven’t seen him on a lot of people’s radars but already a solid big in year 2 of his rookie deal. He limits those turnovers and works on his blocking and you’re looking at a top 2-3 center in the league for years to come. Great job, Bucks

Julius/Gentile/Gilmore all look real nice and I am gonna pick some others

Jalan West/Shawn Long - This is my homer choice, I like the West mentions as he is like 20/9 next to Dell rn. Shawn Long is kinda similar to Zhelin Wang others mentioned just with one better inside/outside ratings and one lower reb rating. Long does have lower handles too but less turns despite that. Long is putting up 13/9 with 1.3 blocks in 30 minutes as non option while shooting over 50% fg and almost 70% from the line.

Cameron Ridley- Nice Def/Reb big who had high pot coming in so could still be developing.

Jermaine Guice - He was drafted with one of the picks I moved for Curry and looks very promising. Will be interesting to watch him develop over the years

Lucio Redivo - Very fun looking spec who I believe is said to have boosted, A- outside already at 20 with A level pot still potentially.

Rowan Barrett - I kinda wanted him in the draft if I missed on Hill with his double shot to boost. I like(d) Kurt Thomas more currently as a spec but long term am very interested to see how he pans out.

If we can call them prospects

Alessandro Gentile - Dude looks like he’ll be the next best scorer in the league for years to come at one of the thinnest positions in the league, however his defense is worrying with that change from SG to SF.

Eric Flor - Guy can get buckets with the rest of em. I heard that he boosted too. Very interesting guy, he will be great for the wiz to build around when AI is gone.

Martin Cuello - hes had a lot of good TCs and seems like a good building block. Donkeys gonna keep this guy forever.

Julius Erving - need I say more? Guy looks like Hondo already, he’ll probably reach that level after the next TC and everybody knows how good Hondo is.

Lucio Redivo - Guess I’m biased but he entered this last tc with 90+ pot and went +3, looked solid in pre and I don’t see him not improving again next TC. He’s like a baby Nikos but hopefully his defense gets there too.

Also love Dennis Wuyick on the Nuggets. Looks very versatile and takes care of the ball well.

Gilmore - Potential GOAT big man

Gentile - the next Pinero-Dell type of wing... should be elite

DSR - my favorite guard from the most recent draft class

Rowan Barrett - 18 year old and looks to have boosted. Plus he is elite by name association

Aaron Craft - he is coming off a disappointing TC but is putting up 19/10 with great defense for Atlanta. Probably means those grades will go back up next TC plus another grade or 2

Going off each draft class.

1. Eric Flor — another guy GB has who randomly goes off. Built like a PG , scores well at SG though. He can rebound really well for a PG as well. Easy max this upcoming free agency.

2. Martin Cuello - gotta go with donkeys pride and joy. Very similar to Flor but Cuello was a second round selection. Not really sure if he’s a go-to-guy just yet since he’s been on the god awful Grizzlies but he looks nice. Another guy who’ll be a free agent who should get the bag.

3. Vasilje Micic - showing love for my boy! Coming into the league he was a natural PG with terrible defense. Defense will come around. Played well in pre/sim 1. Faith that he’ll be the future guy when Maxey dies.

4. Jermaine Guice - someway somehow GB has him too? Another young guy who’s going to blow up probably. Didn’t look too much into the draft but he’s one guy I saw who stood out.

5. JP Tokoto - showing love to curry. J.P. looks good aside from the turnovers. And shooting... but he’s playing great d with 3 steals per.

1. Julius Erving - The fact that he’s almost underrated right now is bananaland. He’s already insanely good and still has much better to get.

2. Grant Hill - Obviously he’s not as polished as Erving is but he still has a super high ceiling and isn’t that far behind.

3. Rowan Barrett - I didn’t know his potential until recently, I actually no joke thought he was the best player in the draft but because nobody else was saying it I wasn’t pressured to take him at 1 or even 2.

4. Martin Cuello - Nobody gives this man the respect he deserves, his rookie deal ends a year before most because surprise he was a second rounder. Let’s just say I’m prepared to offer him as much as it takes.

5. Alessandro Gentile - I can’t spell his name, you basically already know what you’re getting with him and that’s the only reason he’s 5, but he’s the best player on his rookie deal still. If I thought his ceiling was much higher I would have him higher on this list.

Honorable Mention:
George McGinnis
Eric Flor
Joel James

1. Gentile: Do I really need to reason this?
2. Rowan Barrett: He was my favorite prospect in this class and I was going to take him 1 I feel he boosts this upcoming season and it gets interesting.
3. TokoGOAT: He's on my team
4. Grant Hill: Celtics basically all in on Hill/Gentile and they have a lot of attention on them so I feel all eyes are on Hill as Gentile is already good.
5. Erving: Pistons traded 10 picks for him so he better fucking turn out good.
