If you could switch GM seats/teams with anyone in the league, who would it be?
Donkey: Let's be honest, I wouldn't switch with anyone, I've done the time tanking and I'm just starting to reap the rewards. But to play along with the question, I'd trade seats with the Pelicans. Henry has done an amazing job compiling talent in New Orleans, and I look around the league and I can't seem to find a better situation. He's sitting on two front court prospects in Nikola Jankovic and Tom Sullivan who I would love to develop, he has a dynamic duo of Lamb and Pongo who arguably make up the best back court in the league, and on top of that he has the ultimate glue guy in Carlos Strong who without a doubt is holding that team together. After writing all of that, I'd actually consider even switching my situation for the Pelicans, but I know a proud GM like Henry would never give up his team.
Chris: Grizzlies, they have the starpower right now with Manu and Rose, but also the youth and prospects still with guys like Chris Walker and Rowan Barrett.
Henny: Donkey- or Hokey, both have a ton of picks in the incoming drafts and it would be fun to try a different approach--- Also Frankie-- I love Artis
FortsonBass: Knicks for sure. Team is set up nice for the future and they have assets to get even better. Gilmore and Frankamp is the next great 1-2 punch in the league.
OG Ebbs: Celtics. Flor, Gentile, and Warney is a dynasty type trio. I already think Cheddar fucked up not dealing picks / Hill, etc. well value was highest to add competing piece with younger guys on cheap deals.
2nd Ebbs: For the record I would pick my own New York Knicks, but if I had to choose someone else it would be the Celtics, that team is just set up to be a dynasty.
cavsfan: There are several teams that have a dope collection of assets and young talent. I would think that the Grizzlies would be fun. They still have a boatload of picks that they can move if they choose to, and they have young guys like Barrett, Cuello, Thomas, and King that they could push in for even more win-now pieces if they choose to. They may not even have to with how good their team already looks. They'll be set up very nicely for years to come.
mngopher: I would have to say Grizzlies/Donkey and that is likely to be the answer for a while. He has a great team of Cuello/Manu/Breshers/Rose with young guys like Barrett/Thomas etc... Then we add those picks.
cheddar: Honestly, at this point I really wouldn't want to switch. I like what I have built with this team. Obviously the success has not translated into serious title contention, but I like the young group of players I have and want to allow them to continue to grow. I have had to opportunity to deal some of my younger pieces for immediate upgrades and try to win. But I want to stay the course and keep most of the core together.
Cloud: Eh, idk I like where I’m at and I like where I’m about to be a lot, I’m not really too envious of a ton of other situations but Detroit looks great. Boston still is an appealing situation though they lose appeal by the day with Cheddar just sitting on his hands, I really think he’s missed some great chances to capitalize on some pieces and make that team a powerhouse.
yrtb: Boring answer, but I've been saying for 3 years now that I'd love to inherit the Celtics situation. They definitely got some lottery luck with top 2 picks in back to back to back drafts as well as stealing Eric Flor last season, but Cheddar has done an excellent job not rushing the rebuild, which we've seen a lot of other teams in similar situations do. After resigning Gentile, the Celtics are well poised to be at the top of the East for 5+ years.
AIR: Boston Celtics. They are my favorite team IRL and they've got some dope young pieces. Flor/Gentile/Hill/Warney/Ware ohh my gawwww. His clock is ticking because it'll be tough to keep the core around as Gentile just got paid, now it's time for Warney to get paid.
tyfreak: Donkey since he's set to win and still has a bunch of assets
username: donkey or cheddar I think. Dunno who has a better situation going on than them two.

Who do you hope is in the draft?
Donkey: Any UMass Lowell player, it's as simple as that. The Lowell talent is simply umatched, guys like Ryan Jones come in and absolutely terrorize the league.
Chris: Don't matter I don't have a pick, but would be cool to see some more guys from the 90's or drafted in the 90's like Kobe, KG, or Duncan.
Henny: Hakeem-- I love my Bigs
FortsonBass: Kobe Bryant
OG Ebbs: I'd love to see Hakeem. I think he'd be fun as hell. I'd also love to see a team have the pieces where it makes sense to run an inside offense.
2nd Ebbs: TAKO FALL
editor's note: why you do his name like that then?
cavsfan: Doesn't really matter to me a ton because I won't be picking highly with my pick being a swap option. Seeing Kobe would be cool. We've had just about every NBA legend (including MJ) since I've been around, except for Kobe. Getting a re-roll and having someone like Wilt back in the league would be fun. I like when we have big man legends in the league because it opens up the playstyle from more than just fast/outside because that's basically what everyone has to run.
mngopher: I kind of hope it is another few bad drafts while I'm out of it haha. I would really like to have KG come in when I tank but not now. I haven't seen a Magic/Bird before so that would be kinda interesting having them in the league too.
cheddar: Kobe. He's my guy. So if he was in the draft I would likely trade anything and everything to get him. But yea, Kobe would be #1 on my list.
Cloud: At the end of the day it’s just a name so I don’t really care as long as I can add a core foundational piece that’s going to be a stable building block / valuable trade chip for me. I guess the players I’d be most excited about from a hype / name value standpoint would be like Tracy McGrady, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Gilbert Arenas, Chris Webber, Kevin Garnett, Larry Bird, Oscar Robertson, Tim Duncan etc.
Is the league ready for another GOAT?
yrtb: Kobe Bryant. But to be honest I care less about specific players than generally deep draft classes like we had in 2036 and 2037.
AIR: I'm not even in the draft so I don't really care, but can we please get TACKO FALL in the draft? We've seen Vincent Poirier already, so lets get the real Celtics big man in the league. DONKEY - ADD TACKO!
editor's note: a true Tacko fan!
tyfreak: Kobe, Dirk, Duncan, T-Mac and KG at the top of the list. Mitch Richmond would be cool.
username: nobody good I hope! I don’t have a pick and don’t need competition getting better

What is YOUR plan for THIS season?
Donkey: I plan on winning an NBA Championship. Martin Cuello is as hungry as ever, and he is thrilled to have a European buddy in Manu Ginobili. It's truly a match made in heaven, the possibilities are endless. And my front court is just spectacular, I don't know anyone who can match up to it. I wish Barrett took a better step into becoming his son, but that'll have to wait for next year.
Chris: Compete and make the playoffs. East is more open with Cleveland not as OP this year, but I think I can at least be somewhat of a threat.
editor's note: sounds like you're settling for mediocre
Henny: Well I just acquired Pongo and Lamb this offseason-- So the plan is to compete. Not sure what my 1-2 and even 3 will look like but with Pongo/Lamb/Mack/Thames/Orelik and Strong we will be the deepest team in the league thats for sure- Our Defense also got a lot better as did our Offense, the key will be how Moussa translates from 6th to Starter at the 5 and if he can give us 12/10 1.8+ we can make some noise in the East this year. I think Osby and Lamb will have terrific years-- If a #3 can emerge we could be serious contenders.
editor's note: sorry for making Henny talk so much there.
FortsonBass: We plan to be as competitive as possible but with our limited roster a bottom 3 finish is very likely.
editor's note:
OG Ebbs: I want to compete but I don't know if we can make it happen tbh.
2nd Ebbs: Fiddle around with my DCs until I find a winner and bring New York its 3rd BSL championship.
cavsfan: I could see my team doing a lot of different things. Ideally, I would sell off a little bit and get younger, but I haven't had any biters. I will probably just run it back with what I have and try to add some more and see if we can make some noise in the playoffs. I still think that Kidd and Mark Williams are a dope combination, but they aren't going to be able to win it by themselves. Hardrick blossoming late last season and early indications from this offseason is a godsend. Very excited to have him in the fold, along with McGinnis, who probably still has more potential than some of the rookies from this last class ;-)
editor's note: kind of unrelated(?), but as a Bucks fan I say ... FUCK Jason Kidd.
mngopher: I really wanna win a title (go figure). This is my best BSL team ever though so I am pretty hyped. I think West/Julius/Sims/Long looked very good carrying the team to 24-15 in pre and I will be adding Dell Curry and Facundo Pinero to that pre squad. Should be a fun season, really hope it ends in a title.
cheddar: To compete. I would like to see this team take the next step and actually compete for a championship. The window is starting to close financially, but as far as career trajectory our window is really just starting to open. So hopefully this team was improved by just sticking together and allowing them to develop. I wouldn't mind some more depth though.
Cloud: Liquidate as many players on my roster as possible and convert them to future assets, i.e. picks. Tank pretty hard but not hard enough to be #1 projected I wanna be in that 2-4 range ideally, and then from there it’s out of my hands and hopefully I can get some good fortune in the lottery, god knows I deserve it after the way the first tank with the Clippers went.
editor's note: Fortson, take notes on this honesty.
yrtb: Losing Pongo in free agency and getting wrecked in TC leaves my team in an odd position. I sacrificed my future in the hopes of putting together the best backcourt in the league with Allen Iverson and Ivan Almeida, so I don't have my picks in 2040, 2041 (swap), 2042, and 2044. In hindsight, those trades backfired for me. We're a playoff team at least this year and next year since the West still blows, but AI/Ivan declining along with having 0 big depth means that I am not well poised for a deep playoff run. My current plan is to roll with my current roster this season for the most part, possibly picking up some depth with cash, and then re-evaluate in the offseason.
AIR: We don't have our pick, so we're staying with what we got and will try to keep winning games. Lost Tiny, Bateer, Latavious and Johnny as main pieces from last years squad but brought in two replacement bigs who are better defensively and have some young guys at PG who should be able to step in and help. Josiah and Brad will be the main vocal points @ scoring hopefully. Could of made a big move to acquire an elite scorer but we aren't in position to really contend so don't want to continue moving picks. Think we can at least avoid lotto and see how the dices fall in playoffs.
tyfreak: Upgrade upfront and take advantage of the garbage west lol. Really though need a couple upgrades before we're another second round exit
username: To win it all, I hope.
