Probably see the Blazers as a mid playoff team, possibly taking back over my division. I'm not sure if I'll be able to add a star to push me over the edge, and I don't think I have that piece currently
5 more years .. Nuggets will be celebrating their 2nd Ship with 36 yr old Shaq who Cloud finally trades for a pair of 2nd rounders and #23 of the 2007 draft
Gary Payton is 41 years old. He is still stealing the ball 4 times per game.
Really though, I am not quite sure. Once he retires I really want to go back to tanking. Contending is getting exhausting. At the same time I am kind of overly attached to Dirk I think. I don't think I will ever trade him. So it is going to be hard to tank. So 5 years from now Duncan will be 32. Dirk will be 30. They'll still be top 5 at their positions. I'll probably just keep trading my futures for decent guys to play around them. However, I won't be trading any picks from 2013 or beyond. I need my guy...
Eh, probably trying to contend in some capacity. Shaq and Eddie will be either gone or on their last legs by then but Baron will still only be 29. We will have our picks back by then, so a rebuild is in play as well but most likely we utilize this win rating and cap space and keep building around Baron
I will probably still have Kobe/Pierce and no rings, especially with what the nets did after their finals run... At least that will be close to getting my picks back
I'm gonna be completely honest. I have no idea. I barely know how I got the team to where it is currently I'll probably just be running it back for the 5th straight year hoping Tony Parker blows up.
I envision a future where Delonte West is leading a playoff charge on his quest for his first ring, I've finally been able to put the right pieces around him and this is his time to shine. He may not be the best point guard in the league, he may not even be top 30, but he will win and winning is what matters.
