This draft class doesn't have many excited, but I take look at how things could shape out if the standings finished as they are today. These selections are predicted on a combination of MAPLESCOUTING score, team need, GM history, and my own opinion. I would not suggest using this as a "top 30" rankings. Anyways hope you all enjoy!

1. Charlotte Hornets - Melvin Ejim
With Dave Bing running point and the franchise centerpiece in Charlotte, the Hornets should go BPA with the #1 pick and that player is Melvin Ejim. Ejim is the best all around player in the draft he can defend, rebound, and score efficiently from the wing. This is a guard heavy draft so I don’t see why Charlotte would go with a guard when they have already have Dave Bing and could trade into the first for plenty of quality options.

2. Dallas Mavericks - Aaron Craft
The Mavs already gave up on last year's top 5 pick, but they do already have some decent youth on their roster with Thames and Johnson. Adding a facilitator like Craft will only elevate the play of those guys. With elite handles and defense and fringe outside/rebounding Craft would be a great fit for a rebuilding Dallas franchise.

3. Indiana Pacers - Chane Behanan
Indiana looks to have their PG of the future in Staten and tons of youth at guard and on the wing. In the post they are still being patient in the development of Fall and Walker, but I see them adding the best big man in the class to help solidify their future there. Chane is one of three guys in this class that is elite in 3 categories and one of the others is Ejim who I have going #1 overall.

4. Sacramento Kings - LaQuinton Ross
Sacramento went with two PG’s in last year's draft while also adding a SG in Jaye Crockett via trade following the draft. With Howell, Zirbes, and Ellis looking to be the future of their frontcourt I see the Kings targeting a dynamic wing. Ross could be that guy. He will have volume I believe, has three fringes, and great potential.

5. Vancouver Grizzlies - Luka Mitrovic
I still have no idea what donkey’s plans are with the Grizzlies so I have him swinging for the fences here. Luka is the lone 17 year old in the draft and has the 14th best potential in the class. He will need time to develop but Donkey seems to have plenty of time to tank and wait it out.

6. Houston Rockets - Kevin Ware
Houston is at the beginning of a long rebuild. Kessler is on a major decline and Kim won’t be able to carry the load on a weak roster. Ware is 19 years old and has a strong base to go with the 2nd best potential in the draft.

7. Brooklyn Nets - Sir'Dominic Pointer
Like Houston, Brooklyn will be looking to start from scratch with a rebuild. With a re-energized front office I see them taking a teen with high potential in the draft. Pointer has the 3rd best potential and can slide into that SG position next to Svet.

8. Portland Trailblazers - Josiah Turner
The trend continues with teams starting from scratch, and the Trailblazers are now under new management with YRTB leading the way. Turner is an elite inside scorer and defender at PG and has the 4th best pot.

9. San Antonio Spurs (via. Los Angeles Lakers) - Devon Collier
The second big man off the board goes to San Antonio and he is a good one. If he can utilize that top 5 potential of his early on and improve his rebounding he could provide an immediate impact for a contending Spurs team.

10. Milwaukee Bucks - Joseph Uchebo
Uchebo seems to always develop into a nice impactful player in BSL. With Rodman due for a pay day soon and Bol aging and close to expiring I see Milwaukee snagging a quality big they can rely on for cheap minutes during their rookie contract.

11. Detroit Pistons - Myles Mack
Best teen available according to MAPLESCOUTING goes to Panic. Y’all understand why.

12. New York Knicks - Adjehi Baru
I honestly see New York trading out of this spot, but if they keep it why not go with the player with the best potential. Baru is raw, but does have fringe inside and rebounding.

13. Sacramento Kings (via. Miami Heat) - Shannon Scott
Scott is a super fringey teen who is at the top of the class in both handles and defense. Raw offensively though so Tyfreak will have to hope for a teen pot boost.

14. Cleveland Cavaliers - Leo Vendrame
The 18 year old goes to Cleveland. Leo has solid stats playing overseas in Japan.

15. Los Angeles Clippers - Amir Williams
Amir Williams is basically C+/C+ def/reb at 19. A quality project pick for Los Angeles.

16. Minnesota Timberwolves - Eric Flor
International player with volume. Minnesota probably goes BPA in this position.

17. Oklahoma City Thunder - Nick Faust
Solid floor with average potential… is 19 years old though.

18. Washington Wizards (via. Boston Celtics) - Marcis Vitols
Vitols has average pot but is one of the best inside scorers, outside scorers, and handlers in the draft. Defense needs improvement.

19. Utah Jazz - Dick Nemelka
BYU player drafted by Utah seems to just make a ton of sense to me.

20. New Orleans Pelicans - B.J. Young
Henny will take him for sex joke memes, but BJ has a strong floor. His potential is shitty so the Pelicans will be praying for that pot boost.

21. Philadelphia 76ers - Red Robbins
Robbins is a good defender and Foreman has a habit of taking average bigs. This is another one of those kind of bigs.

22. Phoenix Suns - George Peeples
Peeples has the potential to be a solid “3 and D” wing in this league, I don’t believe he’ll ever become a great scorer though.

23. Golden State Warriors - Dundrecous Nelson
Nelson probably would be taken 10 spots earlier if this class wasn’t so deep at guard. A nice steal for Nate’s Warriors here.

24. Chicago Bulls - Chen Linjian
Bulls take the sharpshooting teen out of China. He is 19 and has solid pot so after a few Ebbs TC’s it’ll be “of course his defense was going to improve from C- to B- no problem.”

25. Los Angeles Lakers (via. San Antonio Spurs, pick sold by Denver Nuggets) - Rashad Madden
Lakers end up with this pick because the Spurs will need to buy a late first so they can utilize their swap rights with the Lakers. The Lakers are in a deep hole thanks to Mentch, they probably keep drafting Teens in hopes one blows up. This teen does have the 30th best potential already.

26. Vancouver Grizzlies (via. San Antonio Spurs) - Erik Copes
Donkey probably sells this pick, but for the sake of making a pick Copes is a teen big with fringe inside and rebounding.

27. New York Knicks (via. Atlanta Hawks) - Trevor Lacey
Lacey has shitty potential but should be able to contribute immediately as a reserve.

28. Seattle SuperSonics - Takaya Sasayama
With a per 36 of 14.4 ppg and 6.5 apg the sonics are able to snag a teen late who has a solid base to work with.

29. Brooklyn Nets (via. Washington Wizards) - Matt Korcheck
Korcheck needs work defensively but is one of the best rebounding and inside scoring bigs in the draft.

SECOND ROUND GEM: Jonathan Arledge

Arledge has the worst pot in the draft but does offer a really good base with fringey def/reb. Honestly just needs 1 good TC to become a solid rotational option and the 2 years in the DLG could help add bonus development.
