Nate's Sim 2 [S19] Power Rankings
I use a formula based on point differential, rebound differential, effective field goal percentage differential, turnover differential and net rating. From there, a ranking is given based on the standing of each category in reference to the rest of the league and an average number of the categories is derived. If you've played in any of my previous leagues this is the formula I used over the years in generating my power rankings there.

Categories

Above is the category and the designated numerical range. After running the formula and given the final rankings, each team's power ranking number can be placed in either of the categories listed above to see where they stand in the league.

Sim Two Rankings

Notes
- The Indiana Pacers have a stranglehold on the league at this point. They are the league's best in points differential, effective field goal differential and net rating. They come in second in turnover differential as well. The only stat that they are not top two in is rebounding differential where they rank sixth. It'll be a tough feat for any team to take them down. I'm putting my money on the Pacers to win it all this year.

- The Brooklyn Nets are the second team in the ranking due to their league's best turnover differential and coming in third in point differential. Beyond that, they are sixth in rebounding differential and net rating. Their lowest finish is seventh in effective field goal differential. Although the ranking suggest the Nets are the second best team, they are a mile away from the Pacers.

- The New York Knicks are one of the most interesting teams in the league right now. They are the league's best in terms of rebounding differential by a very large margin. They are second in point differential and effective field goal differential. Although they dominate in rebounding and scoring, what brings them down is their 15th place finish in turnover differential and therefore 12th in net rating.

- Like the Knicks, the Denver Nuggets are an intriguing team do to their point differential (third), rebound differential (fourth) and turnover differential (fourth.) They just don't shoot the ball efficient enough as they are 15th in the league in effective field goal differential. They do finish in the top ten in net rating, coming in tenth.

- The Dallas Mavericks are pretty much the opposite of the Knicks and Nuggets. They are top six in effective field goal differential (third), turnover differential (sixth) and net rating (fourth.) On the other end, they are tenth in point differential and bottom half of the league in rebounding differential at 17.

- The New Orleans Pelicans at six are top 10 in every category we use to determine our rankings, finishing ninth in three, tenth in one and sixth in point differential. They are a well rounded team that doesn't do one thing extremely well.

- The Minnesota Timberwolves are very bad rebounders finishing 18th in the league but have two top five finishes, turnover differential (fifth) and net rating (third.) They come in ninth in point differential and effective field goal differential.

- Like the Denver Nuggets, the Seattle Supersonics don't shoot the ball at an effective rate, coming in at 18th in effective field goal differential. They do have three top five finishes in point differential (fifth), rebounding differential (third) and turnover differential (third). They are 17th in net rating.

- The Phoenix Suns and Atlanta Hawks round out the top ten. The Suns have three top ten placings in effective field goal differential (sixth), turnover differential (tenth) and net rating (seventh.) The Hawks are top ten in point differential (eighth), rebounding differential (ninth) and turnover differential (tenth.)
