Godfather scouting systems offers its official post draft grades and recommendations for each pick
1. Oklahoma City Thunder - Jalen Green 40/172 GF says #10 rated player goes 1.. C-
Jalen needs a ton of Offensive work, solid handles and D will help, but #1 OUCH!
2. Detroit Pistons - Scottie Barnes 47/86 GF says well done Panic he was our #2 A
Scottie is perhaps one of the top 3 players I have ever scouted, tremendous athletics and above avg + skills across the board
3. Brooklyn Nets - Jaden Springer 25/76 GF says STEAL clearly the #1 pick in this draft A+
Jaden has it all he is easily the best player we've ever seen and if he can handle the move to PG flawlessly he can be a Keels type player for Scott.
4. Orlando Magic - Isaiah Stewart 41/144 GF says our #3 ranked Big went a little earlier than we thought B
Best rebounder in this class, with a solid inside game and solid defense give Nets at least an elite 6th man
5. Phoenix Suns - Jalen Johnson scratch, scratch 62/103 C
Comes in raw as a clam with only Inside game ranking near the top of class, ok rebounding makes this a bit more platable, dont get me wrong his overall game is very solid, just not spectacular and may never be.
6. Indiana Pacers (from Hawks) - Jalen Suggs 40/145 top PG went about right B+
Suggs needs lots of work on his Outside game, but the rest offers hope for greatness. His Inside game is elite for the position already and his rebounding is a plus
7. Boston Celtics - Makur Maker 62/163 REACH REACH REACH Alert D-
Lets put it this way I had Xavier Tillman ahead of Maker and Tillman went #31.
8. Sacramento Kings - Cade Cunningham 50/132 A-
Like this pick at this point in the draft. Just work his Outside and this dude could be an AS
9. Houston Rockets - Walker Kessler 21/109 A
There is some projection to one of the most solid Bigs we've scouted recently he comes in and contributes right away, if he starts for the Rockets ROY type here.
10. Boston Celtics (from Mavericks) - Jalen Wilson NA F
We Don't know anything about this guy.. WHY WHY WHY?
11. Brooklyn Nets (from Lakers) - Trayce Jackson-Davis BEAST A+
On a personal note I HATE SCOTT, Davis was our #1 target, his selection caused an uproar in the War room at the Hilton New Orleans Hotel. A Pelican target we know Davis well and we think he was a steal at 11.
12. New Orleans Pelicans (from Bucks) - Sharife Cooper Grade A
Hard to be objective here but we took the #1 handles Player in the draft at 18 he is young and if he boost, the gamble on greatness is there.
13. New Orleans Pelicans (from Cavaliers) - C.J. Walker Grade B
This is where Davis would have been picked, so a bit of a downer, But CJ has a sick base, some Potential and at least profiles into an Okafor type Big with proper development and some key boosts.
