The 76ers organization is sad to announce that a long time member will be leaving the team.

Collins: Wearing what his time was like with the 76ers on his jersey
Point guard Frankie Collins has announced his retirement following the 2043-44 BSL Season. Collins, who ranks 73rd all time in assists (3799, only category he finished in the top 100 all time) commented saying, "I felt like I could keep going another 5 years, but I decided that the time was right for me to hang 'em up."
Collins was drafted with the second overall pick in the 2024 BSL Draft. With a strong rookie season that netted him the 2024 Rookie of the Year award and a spot on the All-Rookie first team, he was never able to capture the PG of the future role for the 76ers.
After being the starter over the first five seasons in Philadelphia, he eventually found his role as a backup once the up and coming future star PG, Derek Fisher, was drafted 6th overall in the 2029 BSL Draft. Collins, draft day on Fisher, "I'm looking forward to working with Fish and getting him prepared for a long career with the 76ers." Fisher refused to comment following the 76ers selection.
Collins spent a few full seasons on the IR, however some reporters close to the 76ers reported that these stints were due to gambling addictions and not due to roster construction as the 76ers management reported. Collins over his career averaged 9.5 PPG, 4.2 APG, 2.9 RPG, 1.1 SPG, and 1.9 TOPG. Collins played in 894 career games, took over 8000 shots in his career, with 43/78/36 splits, and was only disqualified one time in the 2040 season. He won the Player of the Game award 36 times in his career, and recorded an outstanding 35 Double Doubles.
Collins was truly one of the greats in BSL history, and I'm sure many other GMs will agree that his Hall-of-Fame level career will be remembered for decades. To close it out, when 76ers GM, Foreman, asked if his retiring was real, GM/Commish Donkey had these powerful words to say:
