The below was fed into an AI to make it sound better. My raw writing is in spoiler tags if you prefer to read a non-AI version.

2018 BSL Mock Draft:
Disclaimer - no scouting was used for this, only my spreadsheet where I rank players.

1. San Antonio Spurs – Luka Doncic (PG)

The Spurs are in desperate need of a backcourt engine to pair with their young core of Bam Adebayo, Myles Turner, Aaron Gordon, and Andrew Wiggins if resigned. In a draft defined by its elite guards, Doncic stands clear above the rest of the pack, and it should be exciting to see him play surrounded by an exciting amount of young talent. He has the highest prospect score in my spreadsheet and is ready to go day 1 with no real red weaknesses according to the index data set by percentile

2. Cleveland Cavaliers – Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (PG)

The Cavs just miss out on Luka but land Shai, who only has some weaknesses in rebounding, but otherwise is the best pick available in a draft full of generational point guard prospects. Mikal is a solid prospect that looks to be a great win-now player, but Shai just has too much scouted potential and solid ratings to get the nod at the second pick - even with some positional struggles with Cleveland having Jrue and Rondo in-house, the prospect of adding Shai just can’t be missed.

3. Denver Nuggets – Trae Young (PG)

With Frank Ntilikina as the only other point guard on the roster, Denver is clearly hunting for a franchise floor general, but fit is the priority here. While Ja Morant sits higher in pure overall score, the Nuggets opt for Trae Young to better complement Brandon Ingram. Morant’s shooting struggles are a concern for a long rebuild, whereas Trae’s In + Out scoring weight metric and the 2nd best scouted handles behind Morant will provide the offense needed to let Ingram flourish.

4. Washington Wizards (via Philadelphia 76ers) – Mikal Bridges (SG)

With Nate coming back, just missing out on Trae Young hurts. The Wizards have several directions they could go, including looking for a long-term Chris Bosh replacement. However, the prospect of pairing the draft’s best Klay impersonator with Steph Curry is too enticing to pass up, giving Washington a chance to win now with one of the more ready prospects. Bridges brings instant shooting, defense, and would be a big boost in the rotation.

5. Houston Rockets – Ja Morant (PG)

With Lonzo Ball as seemingly the lead guard of the future, and with Ben Simmons and T.J. McConnell locked into backcourt as well, Houston has a tough choice to make here. There is a potential for a strong inside offense brewing here with Grant, Winslow, and Simmons in town, and Ball probably has the highest trade value. I think Ball gets moved and Morant gets the keys to run a devastating inside offense here with the team fit so far.

6. Memphis Grizzlies (via WAS) – OG Anunoby (SF)
The Grizzlies are already sitting on a really intriguing core with Pascal Siakam, Lauri Markkanen, Fred VanVleet, and Markelle Fultz, so they don't need to swing for a high-usage guard like Murray here. While some might still be waiting for the "Per 36 God" Otto Porter to finally get his fair shake in this rotation, Memphis decides to move in a different direction by snagging one of the more ready in OG Anunoby, especially after trading for Klay.
On my spreadsheet, OG is the definition of a defensive anchor for the wing, posting a high Def + Reb weight that immediately upgrades their perimeter toughness and the only B defender in the draft. OG has inside scoring as well, and has a chance to fit a big hole in the roster. Other options here include Wendell Carter Jr if they decide they need another big to build around, but I think OG ends up being the pick here

7. New Jersey Nets – Wendell Carter Jr. (PF/C)
Nets can finally breathe a sigh of relief now that they are officially free from Ben Gordon’s massive contract. With the books cleared, the Nets are finally starting the long, painful path toward a proper rebuild. They kick things off by taking a calculated gamble on Wendell Carter Jr. While Jamal Murray is still on the board, the Nets prioritize trying to hit for a superstar here. Wendell hits all the marks - 19, boostable, with a solid core of ratings with no clear weaknesses.

8. Seattle SuperSonics – Marvin Bagley III (PF/C)
With a massive amount of cap space and the opportunity to hit the "hard reset" button, Seattle decides to swing for the fences. The Sonics ignore the backcourt slide of Jamal Murray to gamble on a "boostable" high-ceiling big in Marvin Bagley III, who is 19 as well. Bagley already has day 1 ready inside scoring and rebounding, and can pan out to be a superstar if the boost hits. Otherwise, safer choices here are Jamal Murray or Jalen Brunson

9. Orlando Magic – Jamal Murray (PG)
10. Orlando Magic – Jalen Brunson (PG)

The Magic do already have Monte Morris who had a solid rookie guard season. and Stanley Johnson is developing well, and Jaylen Brown is also in house. I think with these two guards on the board, the Magic take both and hope that one or both hit. They can move Johnson and Brown up to SF and PF if needed if all 3 of Morris Murray and Brunson pan out, or move one of the successful guards for big man help.

11. Detroit Pistons – Desmond Bane (SG)
Bane is ready to slot into the lineup day 1 and has some upside as well, being on the higher end of B scouted potential. With the Pistons ahead of schedule and already in the playoffs this year, Bane is the perfect mix of upside and win-now here.

12. Utah Jazz – Payton Pritchard (PG)

Utah trades Klay for this pick, and I think that Pritchard fits in well with what they are doing. He would absolutely feast in an balanced offense, and would kill opposing team’s second units as we watch how he develops. Bruce Brown Jr here is an option as well if we are looking for future development, as well as Malik Beasley if Pritchard is not the Jazz GM’s thing.

13. Pacers - Emanuel Terry (PF)

Terry is an under the radar guy who rated well in my spreadsheet. He is rotation ready on day one, scoring highly on defense and rebounding when sorted via the index, and also has inside scoring to boot, and higher than expected scouted potential

2018 BSL Mock Draft:

1. San Antonio Spurs – Luka Doncic (PG)
The Spurs are in desperate need of a backcourt engine to pair with their young core of Bam Adebayo, Myles Turner, Aaron Gordon, and Andrew Wiggins (if resigned). In a draft defined by elite guards, Doncic stands clear above the pack. It should be exciting to see him play surrounded by such a high level of young talent. He holds the highest prospect score in my spreadsheet and is ready to produce on Day 1, with no significant weaknesses according to the index percentile data.

2. Cleveland Cavaliers – Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (PG)
The Cavs just miss out on Luka but land Shai, whose only notable weakness is rebounding. Otherwise, he is the best player available in a draft full of generational point guard prospects. While Mikal Bridges is a solid "win-now" prospect, Shai has too much scouted potential and elite ratings to pass up at #2. Even with Jrue Holiday and Rajon Rondo already in-house, the prospect of adding Shai is simply too good to miss.

Morant’s shooting struggles are a concern for a long rebuild, whereas Trae’s scoring metrics and his elite handles (second only to Morant) will provide the offensive gravity needed to let Ingram flourish.

4. Washington Wizards (via PHI) – Mikal Bridges (SG)
Missing out on Trae Young hurts Nate’s Wizards. While they could have looked for a long-term Chris Bosh replacement, the prospect of pairing the draft’s best "Klay Thompson impersonator" with Steph Curry is too enticing to pass up. Bridges is one of the most "ready" prospects in the class, bringing instant shooting and defense that will provide a massive boost to the rotation.

5. Houston Rockets – Ja Morant (PG)
With Lonzo Ball, Ben Simmons, and T.J. McConnell already in the backcourt, Houston faces a tough choice. However, with a strong inside offense brewing via Jerami Grant, Justise Winslow, and Simmons, Morant's rim pressure is a perfect fit. I expect Lonzo Ball to be moved, handing Morant the keys to run a devastating inside-focused offense.

6. Memphis Grizzlies (via WAS) – OG Anunoby (SF)
The Grizzlies already boast a core of Pascal Siakam, Lauri Markkanen, Fred VanVleet, and Markelle Fultz, so they don't need a high-usage guard like Murray. While some are still waiting for "Per 36 God" Otto Porter to get a fair shake, Memphis pivots to OG Anunoby—especially after trading for Klay Thompson. On my spreadsheet, OG is the definition of a defensive anchor; he is the only B rated defender in the draft and carries a high index percentile defensive rate. His inside scoring gives him the versatility to fill a massive hole in the roster.

7. New Jersey Nets – Wendell Carter Jr. (PF/C)
The Nets can finally breathe now that they are free from Ben Gordon’s contract. Starting a long rebuild, they take a calculated gamble on Wendell Carter Jr. While Jamal Murray was available, the Nets are swinging for a superstar. Wendell hits all the marks: he's 19, "boostable," and possesses a solid core of ratings with no clear weaknesses.

8. Seattle SuperSonics – Marvin Bagley III (PF/C)
With massive cap space and a desire to hit the "hard reset" button, Seattle swings for the fences. They ignore the slide of Jamal Murray to gamble on the high-ceiling young player. Only 19 years old, Bagley has Day 1 ready inside scoring and rebounding. If his "boost" hits, he’s a superstar; otherwise, he remains a high-upside experiment in a rebuilding frontcourt.

9. Orlando Magic – Jamal Murray (PG)
10. Orlando Magic – Jalen Brunson (PG)

The Magic already have Monte Morris, Stanley Johnson, and Jaylen Brown, but they decide to overhaul the backcourt. By taking Murray and Brunson back-to-back, they hope at least one (or both) becomes a franchise pillar. This flexibility allows them to slide Johnson or Brown to the forward spots or move one of the surplus guards for frontcourt help later.

11. Detroit Pistons – Desmond Bane (SG)
Bane is ready to slot into the lineup immediately. With the Pistons ahead of schedule and already in the playoff hunt, Bane represents the perfect mix of high-floor contribution and decent potential. He provides the win-now shooting Detroit needs to stay competitive.

12. Utah Jazz – Payton Pritchard (PG)
Utah traded Klay Thompson for this pick, and Pritchard fits their system perfectly. He is projected to feast in a balanced offense and should dominate opposing second units as he develops. While Bruce Brown Jr. was an option for a higher upside play, Pritchard's readiness gives the Jazz a reliable contributor immediately. I could also see the GM going with Malik Beasley here.

13. Indiana Pacers – Emanuel Terry (PF)
Terry is the ultimate "under the radar" prospect who rated exceptionally well in my spreadsheet. He is rotation-ready on day one, scoring highly in defense and rebounding when sorted via the index. With solid inside scoring and higher-than-expected scouted potential, he could be the steal of the late lottery.
